Summertime

I can't believe how quickly summer is going. Here are some random photos of the kids and us participating in different activities. Swim lessons, fishing vacations, family get-togethers, etc.

Here is Sophie and Ms. Tiffany, Sophie's teacher.  Oh how we love and adore Ms. Tiffany!

Sophie went to preschool at our neighbor's house.  It was so close Sophie walked every day.  An added bonus was that Ms.  Tiffany was an excellent and patient teacher.

I am not sure what Sophie is doing here during her preschool program but how cute is she anyway?????

My baby graduated from preschool and as cute as she was it still breaks my heart.  Next year she will be in kindergarten and as much as I will enjoy the few hours of freedom I just don't know if I will be able to let her grow up!  She is so funny and cute and I enjoy having her around the house to fill some of the void the boys have left while they are at school.  What will I do?  Well, for right now I guess we will enjoy summer and about a couple weeks before school starts I will be happy to send them off after they have worn out their summer welcomes.

Spring Fever

I am the worst blogger. I can't say that I am any busier than anyone else but yet I seem to let time get past me.  It was a month ago that I was just returning from a Vegas trip with a couple of friends.  We had soo much fun it is probably wise not to do that too often.  The weather is changing and I am actually seeing my bulbs coming up that I have been waiting all fall and winter to see!  Connor is turning 10 in 2 weeks.  My childhood friend Mandy moved to Turkey many months ago and I have yet to call her.  My friend Monica that I met in Texas (who also moved to Utah several years ago) called and I realized it has been about a year ago since we have seen each other only to find out that she is returning to Southern Texas to live.  I had braces put on 15 months ago and just got them off. It seems like everything is passing me by in a blink of an eye.  I remember being a child and thinking that summer break would never come and that Christmas could never make it here soon enough!  Now as an adult Christmas is always here before I know it and Summer has come and gone before I think I have had a chance to enjoy it. I think I had better get things together because if I am not careful time will slip through my fingers and I will be sitting in a rest home reflecting on my life!

I can't believe it has been a month since I have even posted anything.   We survived the holidays and are back into our routine.  Christmas was great.  We really scaled down Christmas, I even decided to not give the kids some gifts on Christmas Eve and they were still so happy with all that they did receive!
I tell Shawn constantly that we should move out of state again (only warm coastal locations), especially this time of year because I suffer from S.A.D.  Seasonal Affective (?) Disorder.  We are currently under a blanket of fog/smog/haze and I can't stand it!  The kids seem to be surviving but have found creative outlets for fun.  The other day and today I was doing something and heard Sophie and her friend laughing and having a great time.  I found them in the office on my computer.  They have discovered photo booth (Sophie and I sometimes play with it and she can't get enough!) and were taking some rather hilarious pictures.  Unfortunately, the window was in the background so some of them are bad but enjoy them anyway!
